Early in 2022 Kotara South FC held our inaugural Seniors Presentation Night. As well as being a celebration event, on the night we presented our annual club major awards for service, leadership and volunteering for 2021:
New Life Member: Catherine Burman
Cath has made outstanding contributions over many years to KSFC. She has been a champion of female football promotion. The great growth of female football participation in our club over the past 6 years, in both juniors and seniors, reflects Cath’s work and leadership. Cath has served the club in committee roles including Female Football Participation Officer and Vice President. Her knowledgeable and empathic leadership has been invaluable.
Life Member’s Leadership Award 2021: Sue Aebi
Sue’s leadership of the management of grounds and facilities, including the resurfacing of Nesbitt Park, was recognised by our Life Members with this award. Sue is an organisational dynamo, her continuing work being instrumental in securing the recently announced Lugar Park Amenities grant. Sue also organised a fantastic presentation night, getting over all of the covid related hurdles.
Volunteer Achievement Award 2021: Daniel Curll
Daniel in his second year as Treasurer and on the committee was recognised for outstanding work in both careful management of club finances, and introducing improvements that have benefited the whole club. These included financial management, as well as communications, Daniel having implemented TeamApp as our platform which has proven invaluable.
Our senior players, all age and over 35s, are integral to the life of our club. Many are volunteers as well, be it coaching, managing or in committee roles.
We look forward to enjoying many presentation nights to come,
President, Kotara South Football Club
