Volunteers Required for Club to Continue in 2020

Dear Parents and Players,

It has been my pleasure to serve as President of Kotara South Football Club for the past three years.  Our football community comprises over 800 registered players and thrives on the collaboration and commitment of you its members.  The success of the recent Presentation Day stands as a tribute to the cohesion and togetherness of the volunteers that form the lifeblood of our club.

Each year brings a natural cycle of renewal as outgoing volunteers make way for new ones to take over their positions and move the club forward.  However, as we rapidly approach our AGM on 3rd November there are 3 critical Executive positions that the Club Constitution requires to be filled in order for the club to continue to run. Those positions are:

  1. A. President;
  2. B. Secretary; and,
  3. C. Treasurer.

The Executive & Committee have been succession planning for these and other positions however it has not produced the intended outcome which could result in the club not being able to continue.

The other roles that need to be filled are:

  • Vice President
  • Registrar
  • Competition (U12-U18) Coordinator
  • Assistance with Canteen and Duty Officer roles

So we ask all our members to urgently review the summary of available roles and contact Damien Whittaker, secretary@ksjfc.org to ask any questions or to nominate for a position. This is your opportunity to become more directly involved in running the club and ensuring its continued crucial existence in the Kotara and wider football community.

Kotara South Football Club is an amazing, family orientated and community-based club rich with its own football history. I know that the right people to take the club forward into 2020 are waiting in the wings – we just need to hear from you prior to the AGM so we know the future is secure. So please get in contact.

Kind regards,
Nadene Collins
Outgoing KSFC President
